With two decades of experience racing across a variety of championships, Robb Holland is a recognized name in the SRO America paddocks. The 2024 season saw him embark on a new venture in the Pirelli GT4 America series, and he is determined to achieve success in this campaign.
“We’re looking for a championship,” Robb Holland stated. “That’s why we’re here. We don’t show up with the goal of finishing second.”
This year, Holland is paired alongside fresh new talent Jaden Lander, with the duo co-driving the No. 099 Rotek Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the Pro-Am Class.
“We had our eye on him last year, he's super quick and has experience beyond his years, which is something we look for in our drivers. We connected at the end of the season last year and hit it off. We’re looking forward to seeing what the pairing can bring for the rest of the season.”
For Holland, mentorship and knowledge sharing are big priorities, as he not only competes as a driver, but is also the Team Owner and Team Manager of Rotek Racing.
“I wear a lot of hats and have a lot of different responsibilities, which is great for me because it keeps me on my toes, but as I'm nearing the end of my career, it’s important to me to help out the next generation of drivers that are coming up through the ranks. I have 20 years of experience in this sport, so there's a lot of things that myself and the team can bring to drivers in order to help them develop.”
“We want to help the future professional drivers that we see potential in, and provide them with the knowledge and resources I’ve acquired over the years, and give them information that, personally, would have been really great to have known at the start of my own career.”
In addition to Holland and Lander, Rotek Racing’s driver lineup also includes Isaac Sherman as a full-time entry in the GT America Powered by AWS championship, competing in the GT4 Class.
“I want to not only be able to take care of the team stuff, but also take care of the drivers as well and do all the things that we want to do to move them forward,” he explained.
Holland also competed in the previous round of the GT America Powered by AWS championship at the Grand Prix of Long Beach in the GT4 Class. The streets of Long Beach are ones that he is very familiar with, and exceptionally fond of. In the event, he went on to secure a second-place finish in Race 1.
“I really love racing on street circuits, and Long Beach is one of the first tracks I ever did. I adore this track, and I've been very successful here in the past. This is a place I always look forward to returning to.”
Outside of racing cars, Holland still enjoys the thrills of competition in other ways, and often competes in mountain bike races; “I'm a bicycle racer as well, so I like to just get outside and train on my bike whenever I can in Colorado.”
“I also like to travel. My wife and I never actually went on our honeymoon because I was so busy with racing, so this year we are going to Africa and go on a safari. It's something that she's always wanted to do, so we're going to spend a few weeks traveling around Africa in the wintertime. That will be my time to relax and decompress after the season is over.”
